Edison Pena, the Chilean Miner #12 is well known for spending the first 19-20 days in the mine keeping the spirits of the other miners up by singing Elvis songs. Last year, Edison was a guest of the Collingwood Elvis Festival. During the festival there was a continuous long line of people waiting to have a picture taken with this international hero.
Each year Brian Roman is the host of the events that are held at “The Olde Towne Terrace” during the “Elvis Festival”. Brian, who of course is not an Elvis Tribute artist, keeps the audience entertained between Elvis acts with his own musical stylings.
One day as Brian Roman was walking past Edison called out to him and his translator extended the request for Brian to take a picture with him. Apparently Edison Pena is a big Elvis fan and now a Brian Roman fan too. Brian’s response; “I feel quite honored.
